Northern Lions are looking for Max points

Northern lions are 5th at the moment and have play well and had great improvement in the  season. Especially there batting even though they lost some games they have batted quite well  Captain Gunaratne said “their batting has been a huge improvement”. Batsman like Gunaratne and  Mohan Fonseka have been quite brilliant in helping Northern Lions being competivte in their matches. Also both have score over 400 runs. One thing they would like to happened is an improvement effort in bowling as have conceded 1623 runs at this point of the season. Moreover this week match against Aberfeldie St Johns will be a chance for Northern Lions as there goal to get Max points which will help in them pushing into the top four. Overall Northern Lions are the surprises of the season and will looking to make finals. 

 Pascoe Vale Central bowling was the winner as they march towards Christmas

Pascoe Vale central made light work against Darebin chargers with an impressive bowling performance which help set up a 9 wicket win. Darebin were bowl out for 95 with opener Vimal Dillon top score with 17 but was not great day for Darebin. On the other hand Pascoe Vale Central  bowled beautiful with David Tripp the star bowler with 5/19 and Daniel Barassi chip in with 2/25. Pascoe Vale Central made light work of chasing it down with Mark Sayers making 42 which help them get over the score at the 21 over mark. This leaves Pascoe Vale Central Second  with Buckley Park on top because of percentage while Darebin have drop to 6 but are one game out of the four. Pascoe Vale Central will now travel to Burnside for there two day game while Darebin have the tough task of playing Buckley Park at home.  

Milestones :Congrats for all who made a list and made hundreds or had taken 5 wickets from Round 8 for Saturday Grades and Round 9 for Sunday Grades.
